Meet the Staff – Rika Yamaguchi Rika was born in Kyoto in the 1970s and has always had a passing interest in sumo. She is unique to SFM because, unlike most of the staff, she is drawn into sumo by wrestler personalities and off the dohyo events rather than the matches themselves. She can thus provide a fresh general-public perspective on sumo events, commentating on how they play to the nation at large. Keenly interested in both the English and French languages, Rika has deployed her skills at a number of companies and is an experienced organiser of social network events. She fondly remembers the days of Wakanohana and Takanohana.
