  comme un rikishi bien plus doué que son frère Roho, son impressionnant 10-5 va lui faire faire un bond conséquent dans le banzuke, et il est donc temps de voir ce dont il est réellement capable. Devant effectuer un difficile basho dans les hauts rangs de la makuuchi, s'il parvient à conserver une position basse, éviter d'être repoussé en arrière et qu'il peut placer ses 'nage' au moment opportun, il n'y a pas de raison qu'il ne puisse décrocher un kachikochi. Pronostic pour l'Hatsu – un solide 8-7, voire un 9-6 s'il est classé autour des maegashira 6 ou 7.

Kotooshu – la grosse cote. Encensé comme le premier ozeki 		d'origine européenne de l'histoire du sumo, la grande question en suspens demeure la manière dont il assimilera tout cela. On le voit d'ores et déjà comme le prochain yokozuna, et peut-être le sera-t-il – il va lui falloir d'abord gérer la pression de son rang, mais avec le peu d'espoir que suscite le trio actuel, cela pourrait être pour le mieux. Il serait bien de le voir atteindre le minimum attendu d'un ozeki, un double-digit, mais désormais dans la position de la proie du groupe de chasse, cela ne se fera pas tout seul. Pronostic – un 10-5 avec des victoires sur deux de ses camarades ozeki, Chiyotaikai et Kaio, mais défaite face à Tochiazuma et au yokozuna, plus une bourde inattendue – ou deux ? Encore Kakizoe ?

Asashoryu – Yusho pour l'Hatsu, point final ! Non, vraiment, que peut-on écrire sur Asashoryu qui n'ait déjà été écrit ? Donc, pour en savoir plus, revenez si vous le souhaitez au menu principal...

Vous êtes toujours là ? OK. Au-delà du yusho, ce qui lui en fera huit d'affilée, on verra encore plus de comparaisons avec Taiho, Chiyonofuji et Kitanoumi, encore plus de couverture médiatique, tout cela bien mérité après un convaincant zensho à 15-0.
